Abstract Submission

Abstract Submission Guidelines:

We invite delegates and postgraduate students to submit abstracts for consideration at the Preceptorship and Training (Advanced). This conference aims to foster knowledge exchange and hands-on skill development in the fields of dermoscopy and trichoscopy. Submissions should align with the conference theme and cover a wide range of topics, including dermoscopy, trichoscopy, and onychoscopy, among others. Each delegate can submit a maximum of two abstracts.

Abstract Format:

General guidelines

1. Title: Clearly state the title of your abstract.
2. Authors: Include names, affiliations, and contact information for all authors. Indicate the presenting author. To ensure a blinded review, no identifying features such as names of authors, collaborators, hospitals, medical colleges, clinics, or places should be listed in the title or text page of the abstract. Author details and their affiliation(s) should be entered online while doing the submission.
3. Avoid using abbreviations in title and abstracts
4. Abstracts/case reports must be original and must not have been published in print or presented at any other meeting

Abstract format for original studies
1. Background: Provide a concise background or introduction to the clinical research.
2. Objectives: Clearly state the objectives or purpose of the study.
3. Methods: Describe the methods used in the study, emphasizing the relevance to dermoscopy and trichoscopy.
4. Results: Summarize key findings or outcomes, focusing on their significance.
5. Conclusion: Present the main conclusions drawn from the study.

Abstract format for case reports or case series
1. Background: Provide a concise background or introduction to the clinical research.
2. Report of the case: Briefly summarise your case, highlighting novel findings and utility and application of dermoscopy/trichoscopy
3. Conclusion: Present the main conclusions drawn from your case.

Submission Guidelines:

Word Limit: Abstracts must not exceed 250 words.
Language: Submissions should be in English.
Deadline: Abstracts must be submitted by July 31st 2025
Review Process: All abstracts will undergo a peer-review process by the scientific committee.
Notification: Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection by August 10th 2025.

Accepted abstracts will be presented as poster presentations during the conference, offering participants a unique opportunity to share insights and engage in discussions. The three best posters would also be awarded a certificate of appreciation and a cash prize. We encourage submissions that contribute to the advancement of dermoscopy and trichoscopy knowledge and practice.
