DERMATOSCOPY AND TRICHOSCOPY – E-POSTER / PAPER ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

E-Poster/Paper Abstract Submission Guidelines

We invite delegates and postgraduate students to submit abstracts for the E-Poster/Paper  Presentation at the 5th Annual Conference and Annual CME of the Dermatoscopy Society of India.

Abstracts may cover a broad range of topics related to dermoscopy, trichoscopy, onychoscopy, mucoscopy, and their applications in clinical dermatology. Original research, observational studies, case reports, and case series are welcome.

Abstract Format

For Original Research

• Background: Briefly describe the background and rationale of the study.
• Objectives: Clearly state the study objectives.
• Methods: Describe the study design and methodology.
• Results: Summarise the key findings.
• Conclusion: Present the principal conclusions and clinical implications.

For Case Reports / Case Series

• Background: Briefly introduce the clinical relevance of the case.
• Report of the Case: Describe the clinical presentation, investigations, diagnosis, management, and relevant dermoscopic, trichoscopic, onychoscopic, or mucoscopic findings.
• Conclusion: Highlight the key clinical learning points and significance of the case.

General Submission Guidelines

• Word limit: Maximum 250 words, excluding title, authors, and affiliations.
• Language: English only.
• File format: Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx) only.
• Maximum file size: 1 MB.
• Review process: All abstracts will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee.
• Presentation format: All accepted abstracts will be presented exclusively as electronic posters (e-posters) or as papers (oral presentations). Based on scientific merit, paper abstracts may be accepted as e-posters instead of papers. A maximum of one abstract can be submitted per category. No physical poster presentations will be conducted.
• Registration: Registration for the conference CME is mandatory for abstract submission.

Awards

The three best paper and one e-poster will receive a Certificate of Appreciation and a cash prize. Evaluation will be based on originality, scientific merit, clinical relevance, quality of findings, and clarity of presentation.

Abstract Submission Deadline

• Last date for abstract submission: 15 November 2026
• All abstracts must be submitted on or before 15 November 2026. Late submissions will not be considered by the Scientific Committee.
• Authors are advised to submit their abstracts well before the deadline to allow sufficient time for review and notification of acceptance.
• Submission format:Microsoft Word document (.doc/.docx) only, maximum file size 1 MB.
• Presentation category:E-Poster and Paper presentation
• Registration for the conference CME is mandatory for abstract submission.
